Aluminium pendant and  Japanese linen necklace.

Aluminium pendant process:

Initial stage of developing an Aluminium pendant is to create a clay and wax mold in the shape of the design Next process is to dry the clay and wax Once dry, Aluminium pieces are melted in the pan, than hot liquid is poured into the clay and wax mold. The hot liquid melts the wax mold inside the clay mold and than takes the form of Aluminium pendant. The clay mold is broken to remove the Aluminium pendant which comes out rough and unrefined. The final step is to sand and file the shape to make it smooth, which is a long and laborious process but the end result is smooth and has a lot of character. The design is completed with high quality luxury silk cord, leather or Japanese linen in our atelier in Netherlands.
